Note: Whatever you say or bark…. it has nothing to do with the box office business of Ilayathalapathy Vijay. If you say his victory and business cannot be taken to account arguing that his films has nothing new, then you are questioning the overall success of Rajini. After all, cinema is a profession and all that matters for producers and distributors is the success in terms of box office.

Almost 90% of the audience find the movie once watchable inlcuding neutral fans….

You cant simply say Vettaikaran only have good opening but still it continues its good run. Here is the proof. Number of shows increased after fice days of screeing from 23.12.09 in INOX theatre (high class theatre – initially 6 shows and now increased to 8 shows). This is only done for the movie which is expected to run to the full house in a long term.

Satyam theatre is 95 % full up to coming Sunday. on an average, only 10 tickets per show available till Sunday evening… another proof that Vettaikkaran is contiuning its good run even in high class theatres. No need to tell about other theatres. This is the proof that movie is getting good word of mouth apart from usual barking antivijay groups.

If antivijay group want to make an impact on Vijay’s career then they can only do it with the so called A class high class people, because SMS and forwarded mails are mostly often used by these peoples. But see, the business of Vettaikaran in Elite theatres like Satyam and INOX…. rocking!!!!! What are you really up to guys?

No hype surrounding the film….
It is not released in the festival season to see great opening….
No big director…
No big technical team…

But still manages to get the best ever three day opening (prrof: Sify.com).. this is the mass of Ilayathalapathy Vijay.

First three days, most of the family audiences will not come to theatres and hence we cannot tell Sun pictures is the only reason for this. Sun pictures big plus is that they bring family audiences to the theatres, which is yet to begin in full swing….

As ‘Vettaikkaran’ has hit the screens with a good response and is running successfully, Vijay’s dad S A Chandrasekaran had made arrangement to video tape the response from the fans, sources say. Ultimately, what Vijay saw must have boosted him and the actor is all set to rock in his upcoming movies.
Vijay’s ‘Sura’ team, which is back from Hyderabad, is camped at AVM Studios to carry on with the shoot there. We hear that 50% of the shoot is over as of now.

The response to Vettaikaran, which was released on December 18th in New Jersey, has been amazing and Adlabs Big Cinemas decided to add one more show to satiate the Vijay fans.

The show in California, Bay Area opened to packed houses and industry pundits say that the opening that Vettaikaran received is the second highest, while Pokkiri still remains the top.

In Connecticut and Boston, the film is to be screened during the New Year weekend due to heavy public demand. There are also reports that the online tickets have already been sold out like hot cakes.

The cash registers at the theatres in Texas (Dallas & Houston), Atlanta and Seattle, where Vettaikaran is being screened, are ticking rapidly.

With the Christmas and New Year weekend round the corner, the collections are expected to go up even further.

SunPictures had successfully and grandfully released Ilayadalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Vettaikaran’. Sun Pictures has lavishly spent on promoting the film in all major cities. The gigantic banners at Sathyam Cinemas nearly costs Rs.6 Lakhs per month. Friday December 18, a special show for the entire team was screened last evening at Four Frames Theatre, Chennai. Vijay’s mega budget movie [40crores] rights, has now been sold at a new record price for Kerala and Karnataka. Vettaikaran released world wide on December 18 and in Kerala alone it is opening in nearly 100 screens. Vettaikaran bags one crore plus gross in its first day and strikes a good position in Kerala Box Office. In trivandrum its released in four theatres and collects; two days gross of 9,76,500.
